Remote Desktop Connection (RDC) is a great way to access a remote computer running Windows OS. It gives you the opportunity to work remotely from you home, coffee shop or any place with internet connection, by connecting to your office PC. You can even use a MAC or your cell phone (android or iphone). In order to use that service the host computer needs to run on Windows 7 Professional, Windows 7 Ultimate, or Windows 7 Enterprise.
To setup the Remote Desktop Connection (RDC) you need to have administrative access to the host computer and administrative access in your network (router,firewall etc.)
The first step is to enable RDC. If you are using Windows 8, 8.1, or 10 you will need to open the desktop Control Panel and find the System panel there. Or you can search for “Remote Access” in the Start Menu or Start Screen. Once you search, click on the “Allow remote access to your computer” item. It’ll look a little different in Windows 8, but it’s roughly the same thing.
And now you can select “Allow remote connections to this computer” from the Remote tab.
You can also choose which users can connect, or whether older versions of Windows can connect to your host computer.
